Injection molding (everywhere else Injection Moulding) is a way to manufacture parts from plastics. Melted (or molten) plastic is injected at high pressure into a mold which is usually made of aluminum or steel. The mold is precision-machined using a cutting machine to form the shape characteristics of the part, and is the negative or inverse of the desired shape.
